M70 Manual Grooving machine - including kiss cutter for corners

This small machine is designed for applying a V-Groove to grey board/box board and is perfect for on demand and very short runs. It incorporates a cutter to kiss cut the corners of the board prior to grooving, which allows the waste corners to fall out during the grooving process. The groove completes the cut from the other side of the board. Once you have kiss cut the corners, place the board under the blade having set to the correct position, press the foot pedal and this will send the blade along the rail, which will cut two 45° angles into the board, allowing the board to fold up to 90°. 120° is also possible.

This machine is designed to cut up to 8 V grooves in standard board and paper for packaging products. The machine is hand fed, 1 board at a time. Multiple grooves can be made in 1 pass, for box production 2 passes are needed in order to make the 4 grooves completing the box blank ready for the next process (corner cutting, taping etc). The machine includes a device for sharpening the blades in house. The blade angle is adjustable (from 90° to 110°approx.) to enable inside lining after grooving, which means when the box is formed, the 90° corner is retained. Dust free, quiet production.

This machine is designed to automatically cut up to 8 V grooves in standard board for packaging products. The machine incorporates one hopper which enables the operator to use only one pass for completing the box blank ready for the next process (corner cutting, taping etc). The board will travel through the first blade station, grooving the two width way grooves and then the machine will automatically turn the board 90° and travel on a short conveyor to the second blade station for grooving the two length way grooves in order to finish the grooving process. The machine includes a device for sharpening the blades in house. The blade angle is adjustable (from 90° to 110°approx.) to enable inside lining after grooving, which means when the box is formed, the 90°corner is retained. Dust free, quiet production.

1.5 Casemaker – cold/vegan glue

This entry level Casemaker is perfect for on demand short run book and box production. It is equipped with cold glue facilities including vegan glue which can be heated to 30 degrees for box production, and it has guides for spotting both cases and boxes. The edge turner is for making cases and a roller press to ensure good glue adhesion. This machine can also be used for lining the case or lining a pre-grooved board for box making. Cover materials for boxes can also be glued on this machine.

600 edge turner

600 Edge Turner / Hardcover machine

This machine is designed to run inline with the 450B, 450 Plus, 1246G and 1246B models. It incorporates a plough folding system to turn the edges of the cover material around the hard cover case. Tucking wheels are deployed to fold the corner edges before moving to the second folding station. The case then travels through the roller press completing the case. The machine can also be used for board lining after the case has been made or lining a pre-grooved board for box making. This machine does not place the boards onto the case, it is used only for wrapping the case. Placement of the boards is completed on the inline models listed above. Corner Cutter – 2.2 Box

This pneumatically operated machine is designed to remove the waste corners from the grooved board before wrapping. There is a second tool mounted on the opposite side with a standard profile for cutting the material to be wrapped around the box. This profile can be modified at extra cost if the standard is not suitable. The machine is suitable for short runs and is operated by a foot pedal.

Single Corner Taper 3.0 Box

This semi-automatic machine is used for the application of a pre-glued* paper strip (19mm and 22mm available) onto the corner of the cardboard box. This keeps the box tray in the correct position for further covering and gives additional strength to the box itself. The paper is cut to the required size as programmed and pressed on the 4 corners of the box one at a time. All the operations (length of the paper, temperature and dwell time) are set in the computer control.

*Alternative adhesive-free tape can be supplied which insures clean operation of the cut-off knife.
